ewi are working on behalf of a Global leading Infrastructure Construction Group that are looking for a Technical Engineer to join the technical office team and coordinate all design matters relating to the projects. As a technical engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our multi-disciplinary teams work together seamlessly, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high quality.

In this role you will work with one of the largest ongoing infrastructure projects in Stockholm, the extension of the metro.

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities

Review and approve design drawings and deliveries from subcontractors, ensuring they meet all relevant information and regulations, and are produced on time, within budget, and to a high quality.
Communicate and participate in project meetings with the client, subcontractors, and other project team members to ensure that their expectations and requirements are met.
Lead internal and external design teams, and communicate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to coordinate the design process.
Support and coordinate with other departments or divisions to ensure that the project is aligned with the company goals and objectives: QHSE, time planners, estimators, quantity surveyors, site managers, and other key members of the project team.
Monitor the design budget, schedule/time plan, and suggest possible adjustments.
Identify and address any potential design or operational issues/risks.
Review and analyse cost estimates, change orders, and other project documents.
Oversee and optimise the design using technical expertise.

Requirements

Degree in engineering, or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of design principles and standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
Fluent in Swedish or another scandinavian language.
