We are looking for an IT Application Expert in Sweden, based in Malmö.
The Role:
The IT Application Expert leads complex application implementations and change initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to design solutions that align with business objectives and improve processes. The role includes system development, testing, documentation, and user training, while also providing advanced support and pre-evaluating technical issues across the application landscape. The expert ensures cohesive integration, overseeing system interfaces, data flows, and end-to-end IT solution delivery.
- Lead end-to-end IT solution design, development, and implementation, ensuring quality project execution through planning, progress tracking, and vendor management.
- Manage application vendors, including selection, contract execution, and ongoing coordination during project lifecycles and operational support.
- Deliver advanced first- and second-level application support across the PPF group, handling incidents and change requests via the ServiceDesk system and escalating when necessary.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including time planning, test plans, training materials, and status reports for stakeholders and IT leadership.
- Execute system and user acceptance testing, provide training, and ensure user account and access rights management align with internal security policies
- Ensure application availability, performance, and compliance, monitor system health, support quarterly maintenance, and contribute to disaster recovery and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
· Proven business process knowledge about supported areas with solid understanding of business functions on conceptual and detailed level
· 3+ years of experience working with helpdesk systems or other incident tracking systems
· 3+ years of experience managing external vendors and consultants within projects and in day-to-day support activities.
· At least 3 years of experience in delivering projects, working as senior project resource
· Experience with DC1 or any other ERP system
· Hands-on MS SQL Server, or other database type knowledge
· Experience working in multinational environment, proven experience in co-operation with remote colleagues
Education / Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience in support for the IT applications of a mid-size company (500 users)
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in IT management or Computer Science
- Professional-Fluent verbal and written English and Swedish
- Project Management certificate is an advantage
Skills/Abilites:
Possessing strong communication, planning, and analytical skills, the candidate excels at managing multiple initiatives in fast-paced environments, with expert-level understanding of business processes (especially in manufacturing/FMCG), and the ability to assess and articulate the downstream impact of application changes across all organizational levels.
