About the role
The IT Service Manager is vital in steering IT Operations to excellence by ensuring consistent service delivery and driving ongoing capability improvements.
As an IT Service Manager at GANT, you'll play a key role in a new initiative aimed at optimising our IT functions through external partnerships. This position offers an exceptional chance to build robust operational structures and cultivate lasting relationships with our chosen vendor from the start.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Service Delivery Management: Ensure timely, effective IT service delivery, fulfilling SLAs and KPIs.
- Project Management: Occasionally serve as Project Manager for small-to-medium projects within your Service Areas of responsibility.
- Continuous Improvement: Pinpoint and enact improvements to elevate service quality and efficiency, while establishing short and long-term roadmaps.
- Vendor Management: Administer contracts with external suppliers to guarantee the requisite service delivery.
- Resource Management: Optimize team performance through proficient scheduling and budget coordination.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between IT Operations, other IT units, and occasionally business units to align IT services with organizational objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold high service standards through rigorous quality assurance practices.
- Technical Architecture: Collaborate with IT architects and Enterprise Architecture to ensure services comply with architectural standards and are tailored to our IT landscape.
- Agility Transition: Lead the shift toward agile practices where feasible, focusing on business value, ROI, and customer feedback.
- Incident and Problem Management: Supervise incident and problem resolution to minimize business impact.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and produce reports for service performance analysis.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure/operations roles, either technical or similar.
- Knowledge of IT service management is advantageous.
- In-depth experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Hosting, both on-prem and cloud hosting platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS)
- Storage services
- Backup services
- Database Management/Administration
- Endpoint Protection and MDM Services (Intune etc.)
- Directory Services, such as Active Directory and Azure AD
- Domain Management Services
- ITIL knowledge is mandatory; certification is beneficial.
- Agile working experience is a merit.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in presentation and document tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to evolving requirements.
- English working proficiency is essential.
