Group IT Leadership – Driving digital transformation at Husqvarna Group with a focus on Construction Division
Our client, Husqvarna Group, is seeking a new Vice President – IT Services & Solutions to join Group Information Services (GIS).
GIS is a central function within Husqvarna Group, responsible for leading IT and driving the group’s digital transformation. With over 245 professionals worldwide, GIS is a diverse and global team that empowers Husqvarna Group by providing the tools, expertise, and innovation needed to meet evolving business needs.
You will be a member of the GIS Management team and report to the Group CDIO. Together with the GIS management team, you will shape the group’s IT and digitalization agenda. This role is more than just about technology - it‘s about delivering true business value and shaping Husqvarna‘s digitalization journey.
In your role, you are responsible for leading IT and digital transformation for the Construction Division – a leading manufacturer of innovative equipment and diamond tools within the light construction industry, and diamond tools for the natural-stone processing industry. Therefore, you will also be part of the Construction Division management team. You ensure robust, secure IT service delivery while driving digital innovation that aligns with both the division's needs and the group’s strategic priorities.
In addition, as a senior leader within GIS, you are expected to take on responsibility for a GIS initiative or function beyond your primary area. Currently, this includes oversight of the Group Project Portfolio Management Office, a key function supporting strategic initiatives across all divisions. This responsibility may evolve over time in line with GIS strategy and future organizational needs.
The position is geographically based at the Construction Division HQ in Jonsered, outside Gothenburg, Sweden. The role requires travel both within Sweden and internationally.
Your Responsibilities and Tasks:
- You will manage and develop approximately 30 people in total and report directly to Husqvarna’s Group CDIO. You will secure the right capabilities and knowledge within the team and develop a strong team with high engagement and customer focus.
- You’ll act as the main driver to synchronize Husqvarna’s IT strategy with the Construction Division’s needs and vision, being in charge of the delivery of IT services and systems for the division.
- In a dual role, you will also oversee the group’s Project Portfolio Management Office, which supports and prioritizes over 100 projects globally, including a dedicated Change Management Team.
- Throughout that journey, you will act as a valued business partner to the other functions. As a team, you put your clients first and ensure IT operations and services are aligned with the market trends and customer needs.
- At the same time, you keep an eye on the financials, ensure that project budgets are followed, and carry out financial follow-ups within projects and teams.
- Beyond your direct teams, you will manage international collaborations with associated consultants and external partners in a proactive, business-oriented way, making sure they are in line with the group strategy and divisional needs.
- You take the lead in building a culture where diversity and inclusion aren't just buzzwords – they are at the heart of everything the company does.
Your Profile
- We see that you have an academic degree in a relevant field for the role, or similar relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT management and several years of leadership experience, incl. leading leaders.
- Experience from an industrial company having global manufacturing operations is beneficial.
- Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships between group level and divisional/business unit level.
- Proven track record in business partnering with measurable results in how you supported growth and elevating market positions; background in management consulting is a definite plus.
- You are fluent in English; other languages are of advantage.
