JOB DESCRIPTION:
Groupe SEB is looking for a Product Manager to join our Marketing team in our Nordic Headquarter in Sundbyberg, Stockholm.
In this role you will be the owner and expert of the product category, manage and drive the business through adapting and applying the international product strategy for the international brands (Tefal, Krups, etc.) and develop and implement a strategy for the local brand OBH Nordica, in the Nordic market with financial responsibility. You will develop and implement marketing strategy plans in the Nordics under Groupe SEB guidelines, investigate new business/product opportunities as well as driving the commercial strategy of the assigned product portfolio in close collaboration with sales.
The Nordic Product Marketing department is structured by category and plays a key role in developing the business through being the link between the Group marketing functions and the local markets when it comes to products and marketing activities.
The market is intensively competitive on both the supplier and retailer side and puts profit pressure on “brands” due to many players and high level of “private label” penetration. Our key business drivers are launch of new products, innovations, and marketing activities and it is key to have an “entrepreneurial” approach to marketing and sales.
THE ROLE:
For this position it is key to have a passion for products, a strong commercial sense and interest, as well as a strong performance oriented attitude.
The role will include:
- Analyze consumer insights, market trends, market shares and shopper behavior
- Implement the product and brand strategy in the Nordics based on international guidelines
- Build the category roadmaps by identifying the local need gaps and how to best address them with the global portfolio or through local development
- Manage assortment (permanent + promo + channel management + customer management) and pricing (RSP/NSP) together with Business Units, Continental Marketing, EMEA commercial team and sales teams.
- Own P&L of the category, analyze business results on monthly basis, identify issues and opportunities and propose and implement corrective actions and improvements to sales and management
- Localize international products into the Nordics by adapting the different marketing elements and in some cases support the local communication team in developing local assets
- Manage product launches and activations with graphic, digital and commercial teams
- Drive commercial strategy of the category by defining channel and customer management together with sales, and build the selling story to use by KAMs
- Develop overall marketing strategies, and define key communication using international or local guidelines
- Partner with KAMs on building assortment/promo plan with key customers, and participate in meetings when appropriate
- Support in category management projects with Continent Marketing and local KAMs
- Manage full product life cycle from launch to phase out, in close collaboration with supply team
YOUR BACKGROUND:
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role within product marketing or category management
- Experience in FMCG companies
- Experience in an international environment is a plus, eager to work in a commercial environment in charge of marketing and sales
- Good analytical and quantitative skills, and easily communicates through numbers and business cases for various stakeholders
- Combination of strategic thinking with high attention to detail and structure
- Entrepreneurial drive, agility and ability to act in a Nordic team and international group with many different actors
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- Good presentation skills
- Good level of MS Office package
WHAT DO WE OFFER :
Monthly base salary 46-48K SEK + bonus, as well as other general benefits.
We have a collective agreement in place; between the Swedish Trade Federation (Svensk Handel), Unionen and the Swedish University Graduate Unions (Akademikerförbunden).
We work in a great, newly refurbished office in central Sundbyberg, and we also offer a ‘hybrid’ model, allowing you to work from home up to two days per week.
